Sabre DXG

The Sabre DXG is a heavy-duty, low profile CNC gantry designed for high speed plasma and oxy-fuel shape cutting.

It is built around a reinforced main beam featuring dual precision linear ways that provide outstanding accuracy. The gantry sits on a heavy-duty crane rail system mounted on H-beams, providing a stable foundation and easy installation. The Sabre DXG is equipped with an advanced drive system using the latest generation digital AC drives and high-speed motors, and precision gearboxes optimized for shape cutting machines. This system provides the wide speed range with accuracy and smoothness of motion.

The Sabre DXG beam is a welded, fabricated structure with numerous stiffeners that yields an extremely rigid gantry. The beam is machined to the tightest tolerance to achieve high accuracy over the life of the machine, and features a dual linear rail guiding system for the cross-axis carriages.

This low-profile dual side drive gantry sits on a 85# heavy-duty crane rail system mounted on H beams, providing a sturdy, stable foundation and easy installation. Rail systems are available in increments of 8 ft. up to 104 ft.

Cut quality and accuracy are dependent upon smooth, precise motion control in both axes. The Sabre DXG does this by matching digital AC drive amplifiers with AC brushless motors and precision extra heavy-duty gear boxes with rack-and-pinion gearing. The gearbox features an oversized output bearing and output shaft to reduce torsional wind-up and increase torque capacity. Drive racks are mounted directly to the machined sides of the rail, ensuring consistent rack to rail alignment. All three drives are mounted on dual linear rail engagement slides, for perfect pinion alignment and very low backlash.

The Sabre DXG achieves positioning accuracy of +/- 0.010" over a 60" area, with repeatability of +/- 0.003".

Available processes on the Sabre DXG include plasma, oxy-fuel, three torch edge prep, plasma marking, air-scribe, punch marking, and drilling.
