Plasma cutting offers an unbeatable cost/benefit ratio, high cutting speeds and extremely precise cut edges, and can be used to cut materials from 10 ga. to 6" thick. Plasma cutting ionizes gases using electrical energy, then constricts that arc through a nozzle orifice. The resulting jet of focused plasma melts the material with its high heat density and the kinetic energy of the plasma gas, and pushes the molten metal out of the kerf. The high arc density of the plasma jet delivers high-precision cutting results. All conductive materials can be cut with plasma, including carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
